Isshiki’s Type I Thyroplasty is used for Vocal Cord Medialisation. The complication following that surgery is airway obstruction
Explanation
1. Vocal cord medialization. Is Type I Thyroplasty
2. Vocal cord laterlization. Is by Laser Cordectomy, Cordotomy, Cordopexy or Arytenoidectomy
3. Vocal Cord shortening is Type III Thyroplasty.
4. Vocal cord lengthening is Type IV Thyroplasty.
