Sub: Vacancies for Medical Consultants, WHO/RNTCP Technical Assistance Project (MC-WRTAP)

Dear Madam/Sir,

The World Health Organization (WHO) helps the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) to technically facilitate Government of India's Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), through theWHO/RNTCP Technical Assistance Project (WRTAP).

RNTCP is a professionally managed and respected national health programme, making a difference to the lives of millions of TB patients inIndia. Under WRTAPWHO manages a national network of about a 100 qualified WRTAPMedical Consultants, charged with the responsibility of technically supporting the RNTCP. This is a challenging but satisfying position, directly responsible for the success of a vital, national health initiative.

WRTAP Medical Consultants are positioned in metropolitan and principal cities across India, to assist state and district level health officers in programme planning, coordination and implementation. WHO would like to recruit about 15 WRTAP Medical Consultants, to fill existing/ expected vacancies, details of which have been appended to this mail.

WHO has retained Strategic Alliance Management Services P Ltd. (SAMS) to carry out a national search to identify and shortlist suitable candidates, to fill the above vacancies. We are also appending a copy of the Job Description for the position. Applicants are required to visit our website 
www.sams.co.in to download and urgently fill the prescribed form. WHO/RNTCP would like to conduct final interviews to fill these vacancies in about three weeks from now.
